A New Device for Small Business Owners

Being able to easily and conveniently accept credit card payments on the go has been a long-time dream for many small business owners and now, various companies are making those dreams come true.

CNN Money, recently ran a story featuring three companies that have created credit card processing devices that can connect to iPhones, for on-the-go credit card processing.  Square, founded by Twitter co-founder and chairman, Jack Dorsey offers instant receipts, rewards and no monthly fees.  The company will also donate a penny of every transaction made to a cause of the user’s choice.  “Last week, VeriFone (PAY), the global manufacturer of electronic payment systems, started shipping an iPhone sleeve called the PAYware Mobile credit card swiper. And Mophie, an iPhone case maker, plans to release its own payment device, the Marketplace, in late March,” wrote Jessica Bruder for CNN Money.

These devices can come in handy for various traveling small business owners, and for businesses whose services require employees to travel regularly, such as limo drivers, plumbers, repair people, photographers, etc.
