The Pressure is on, Community Banks

There may be a number of sources and occurrences to blame for the onset of the recession. Once the economy is back up again, we can learn from our mistakes in order to prevent such a downturn from happening in the future. Still, before we can take preventative measures, we must pull ourselves out of this slump by solving our current economic problems and according to President Obama, community banks can be a big part of the solution.
“There are businesses that are looking for loans out there, that are profitable and ready to make money, and the key is to match them up with banks that are in a position to lend,” Obama said (L.A. Times).
Hopefully, small business owners will be soon be able to secure funding for their businesses within their own communities. Still, small business owners in need of business funds still have the option to take advantage of merchant loans.
